REVIEW - Saved by the Woodsman - Eddie Cleveland

Saved by the Woodsman

by Eddie Cleveland

I turned my back on society, walked off the grid and never looked back. So, why can't I let her go?

Ashley represents everything I hate in society.
A spoiled brat, a media princess, a woman who would rather record her life than live it.
It’s people like her that are responsible for the bullshit on the internet, bullshit that cost the lives of everyone I’ve ever loved.
But one taste of her makes me question how I could ever live in a world without her in it.

Sawyer offers me nothing more than a hard body and a warm bed.
He’s just an escape from my humiliation and betrayal. He can never provide me the lifestyle that I worked so hard to obtain.
Then why am I considering throwing away my fame and fans to hide away from the world that embraced me when no one else would?

SAVED BY THE WOODSMAN is a stand-alone, full-length romance with no cliff-hangers and an HEA. This book deals with a very sexy couple who are snowed in a cabin together. With no tv, internet or distractions. The steamy scenes in this one is enough to melt the ice trapping them in that cabin! What else can they do? Intended for an 18+ audience.

How does a virgin end up chasing after a murderer in the Yukon? This book explains. Eddie is a very talented author. He gives you characters you are supposed to hate but fall in love with. Cole is one of those characters. Cole ends up rescuing young naive Abbie from a terrible situation. Abbie ends up rescuing Cole from depths of his own demise.

I received this book for my honest review.

REVIEW - Wintr's Homecoming by Jen A. Durand

Wintr's Homecoming: Secrets

(Secrets, Lies and Betrayal Book 1)

Jen A. Durand

Jinx Wintr was perfectly willing to be the get away driver should her friend, Nicole, decide to bolt on the eve of her wedding. Instead Jinx found herself running into old acquaintances and discovering an unwelcome surprise.

Dominic Lowell had changed. He no longer lived for the adventure. He yearned for a home. Only now he was hoping to build those things with her. Faced with the remnants of a childhood crush and the fear that history would repeat itself.

Should she continue to exist with a closed heart or should she trust the love of her wolf?

I really liked this book. In the front of the book the author describes the types of people and describes the main characters. It really helped to have that reference. The book started out slow and some parts were confusing, however, it is worth the read. When Jinx agreed to be a part of her friends wedding she didn't know she would be facing here past. A past she had walked away from. She never thought she would find love in the man she idolized as a kid.

I received this book for an honest review

NEW RELEASE/REVIEW - Own it by M. Dauphin

Cover design: Inked Imprints

Book Trailer

You know what sucks? Cancer. Cancer sucks.
Especially when it takes a young life. Like the life of my five year old son. You want to know what I have to say about that? Nothing. Absolutely nothing because I don’t have the drive anymore. There’s nothing left in me except emptiness. That much is obvious. I’ve lost my car, my career, and my apartment. At least I have my brother.
Actually, I just have a place to stay because of my rich, single brother.
I’m struggling to find purpose again. After what life’s shown me it can do to a person, I really don’t care if I’m breathing anymore.
I am, but barely.
Then Jett Voss showed up and it’s like he’s an oxygen mask I don’t need or want.
She’s got no cares left in the world and I’m determined to resuscitate her heart.
It was a one-night stand that connected us. She only had one want that night, and I took care of it. I’m not stopping there though. I may have not known her before her heartbreak, but I know there’s life inside of her still.
I will find it.
That means I need to stick around town for a while. I guess I don’t have many other options. I’ve just been forced to run a company I never wanted and I’m a little bitter about it. The circumstances of why this fell into my lap makes it the hardest. Death is a cruel reality. My bike shop, occasionally the open road, not answering to anyone...this is the life I was living and wanted.
It’s insane what one look, one night, one person can change in you.

I absolutely loved this book..Lo and Jett's story had me on an emotional rollercoaster. I found myself laughing, crying and shaking my head at both Lo and Jett through the entire book. The book starts out with tragedy and my heart broke for Lo. but after plowing into this hot guy after a funeral, her life began to change. These two are train wrecks who you will quickly realize that they need each other. I think some of the best parts of this book is how they are with each other, how you get to see Lo and Jett change as their relationship takes off and they start to fall in love with each other. Then 3/4 of the way through the book it takes a twist that left me in tears and hoping that things aren't how they seem.

“It’s not the event that makes you, Lo. The loss of your son? You don’t have to let that loss devastate and destroy the amazing woman you are. Own it, but own it in a way that makes you a better person. I believe you’ll do it. It just may take time.”

This book is raw and real and perfect! This book deeply touched my soul and subtly deals with many issues around tragedy and heartache and healing. You will have to just download this book and find out for yourself how amazing this book actually is.

RELEASE BLITZ/REVIEW - Shopping for a CEO's Wife by Julia Kent

Title: Shopping for a CEO's Wife
Series: Shopping for a Billionaire #12
Author: Julia Kent
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: April 25, 2017

Snowbound. Sounds so romantic, with visions of cuddling before a roaring fire, hot chocolate spiked with brandy, and a secret elopement.

Wait. What?

My fiancé's father won't stop trying to turn our pending wedding into a three-ring media circus so he can get free publicity for his family's Fortune 500 company. My mother has decided she's done with All Things Wedding and asks her teacup Chihuahua for mother-of-the-bride advice.

They've all gone certifiably mad.

Then the stress from the wedding puts my mother in the hospital, I scream at my future father-in-law in front of a camera crew and the video goes viral, and the romantic wedding that started with Andrew's grand Pride and Prejudice proposal looks less like Jane Austen and more like Dostoyevsky.

So what do you do when you're a fixer and you can't fix something?

You give up on it.

Not on Andrew, silly.

The wedding.

Shopping for a CEO's Wife is the 12th book in Julia Kent's New York Times bestselling Shopping series. As Shannon and Declan enjoy their newlywed bliss, Andrew's father wants to exploit Amanda and Andrew's nuptials, much to Amanda's chagrin. Can she learn to stand up to her future father-in-law and fight for what's right? But the real question is: will Spritzy the teacup Chihuahua end up being a flower girl?

I love this entire series and if I had more times I would absolutely reread the entire series before each new release. And Andrew and Amanda are my favorite and I couldn't wait to see what craziness was going to ensue for there wedding after what happened with Declan and Shannon. In complete Julia fashion, I found myself literally laughing out loud and brushing up on my googling skills. This book was amazing!

Andrew and Amanda have a different relationship dynamic than Declan and Shannon that makes it so much fun to read their story. There is just something about their witty banter and sarcasm that I can never get enough of these two. They truly are perfect for each other. It is amazing that these two are able to find their HEA with all the craziness that James is causing and the paparazzi.

I can't wait for the next book in this series! Download this now!

Release Blitz | Review | Who Needs Air | by Cassie Graham

Title: Who Needs Air

Author: Cassie Graham

Release Date: April 28, 2017

Add to TBR

They fell in love at thirteen.
He wrote a book about it at twenty.
She watched him walk away at twenty-three.
And he made the New York Times Best Sellers list at twenty-four.

Campbell ‘Cam’ Potter stood idly by as August Wyatt took over the world one word at a time. Chapter by chapter, people fell in love with the story he created – the events she lived. And now the book was being made into a movie, it was only a matter of time before August was back in their small hometown in Georgia.

The problem was, when August left five years ago, Cam made a promise to herself. The ending in his book would be the conclusion to their story. There was no sequel, no second chance, no possibility of ever seeing him again. He obliterated her heart and she was determined to never let it happen again.

That is, until Cam gets a late night text from the heartbreaker himself.
New chapters are written, fresh storylines are explored and Cam and August find a familiarity in one another.

Sometimes THE END doesn’t mean it’s over.

Bringing my body into his with a tug, he squeezes my shoulders. Only, this hug feels different. It doesn’t feel like all the other ones we’ve shared since he came back into town. I’m baffled at first, my arms locked around his torso. He doesn’t let me free and I think he may need this. I think he might need me. He sighs, his face falling into the crook of my neck and I finally understand why it’s so different. I don’t know why it took me so long, but my heart soars and my grip tightens. I force my eyelids closed and I breathe him in, using every ounce of my ability to give him back what he’s offering me so willingly.

He doesn’t have to say the words, but I hear them loud and clear. He’s been looking for someone to care about him in this town. Not someone to fawn over him or tell him what he wants. I’ve shown him that even without the book, he’s still important and this gesture – his foreign and surprising hug – is his way of telling me he appreciates it.

He clutches the back of my neck, his signature grasp, and breathes me in as I cling to his sweater, willing my eyes to stay closed. If I look at him or our reflection in the mirror above the headboard, I’m going to lose it.

Sighing contently, he pulls back and I do the same, opening my eyes.

“Night,” he offers with a smile, bringing his lips to my forehead for a split second before turning around and sufficiently closing me out, unzipping his bag.

I blink a few times, speechless as I watch him pull his sweater up and over his head, tossing it on the bed. His muscles strain and the dimples just above his pant line are so pronounced, my fingers ache to touch them. I turn away, reminding myself that we’re just friends. Friends only, Cam. Hands off. No touching his back dimples. It’s inappropriate and…oh, God, he’s unbuckling his pants.

Walking out of the door with embarrassed haste, I close it behind me.

My skin, tingling and hot, I trace my forehead with my fingertips. The prickle of his kiss still evident. Eager to erase the aftereffect of his touch, I scrub my head like a moron, accidentally creating a deep red spot. It doesn’t help. My skin scorches for long minutes.

After changing into pajamas, I climb into bed and wrap myself in the comforter. I need to sleep and forget the last three hours happened.

Just as I’m about to shut my eyes, my phone goes off with a text message.

August: Tonight was exactly what I needed.

Another one comes in.

August: You’re still so important to me. Please don’t ever forget that.

I chew on my lip and study the words until they become indecipherable. Turning on my side, I plug my phone into the charger and close my eyes.

I’m in so much trouble.

Cassie Graham is a sassy redhead who lives in Arizona with her handsome husband and beautiful daughter. If she isn’t shoulder-deep in writing a book, you can find her watching Supernatural or reading a delicious romance by one of her many talented friends. She likes front porch sitting in her pink rocking chair, drinking Moscato, chocolate, reading books with her daughter and constantly dating her husband.

 3 Sexy Heels

This was my first Cassie Graham book. I was very intrigued by the blurb and I couldn't wait to check out this book.
I always love second chance romances, but this one was often frustrating to read. I totally get never getting over your first love and heck, if I was given the chance I would absolutely welcome him back into my heart. With all the hoopla around filming August Wyatt's story about the two of them. I didn't like how when things happened that it felt like he was jerking Cam around and pulling her heart strings. I felt so bad for Cam and often wanted to smack August in the back of the head. I kept hoping that things would turn around for them.
So, if you like second chance romances, male romance writers, and small town meets hollywood then you will enjoy this book.
