RELEASE BLITZ/REVIEW - Something So Perfect by Natasha Madison

something so perfect release day.jpg

Matthew

Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL's bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents. A knock on the door brought an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. All I had to do was prove I learned from my mistakes, so no way would I fall for a chick with a pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend all day devouring it.

Karrie

When my father gave me a job, I had no idea it would be to babysit some washed up NHL player. He wanted me to be his chaperone, his overpaid babysitter. I thought it was a joke. Then I met him, Matthew Grant. I wasn’t prepared for this particular bad boy. He’s not only hot but he’s arrogant and kinda sweet in a 'you make me crazy' kind of way.
Basically now that he’s finished screwing up his life, he’s decided to turn mine upside down.

She’s the first thing I’ve ever wanted more than hockey.

He’s the guy I know I should stay away from.

But what if this thing that started out so wrong turns into something so perfect?

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...

4 Sexy Heels

Something So Perfect by Natasha Madison is the 2nd book in the Something So series. It is my first read from this Author and I will continue to read her books in the future. Natasha has a definite way of making you feel like you are the character.

Karrie's father, Doug (who I really liked, for the record) gives her a job with his organization, and she is NOT happy about it. She has a Master's degree for heaven's sake and the last thing she wants to do is babysit a washed up NHL player...and a super cocky one at that, no matter how handsome he is.

Matthew Grant is one heck of a hockey player, but...he has done some really stupid things in his life and career. He gets one final chance to redeem himself but there are strings attached. He must live and be closely watched by Karrie Cooney, the owner's daughter. Matthew is cocky and really does think that the world revolves around him. The two get off on the absolutely wrong foot but things quickly get super steamy, much to Karrie's surprise.

I spent most of the book feeling like I was Karrie (without all the feel good stuff lol) and wanting to wring Matthew's controlling, almost misogynistic neck. I loved how Karrie talked to herself and give it back to him time and time again. Although Matthew comes across as a man who wants everything his way, you soon find out that it is more likely his way of coping and protecting those he loves.

I absolulely adored Cooper and Parker and holy heck did I love Vivienne!! I want more of her!! Something So Perfect made me laugh out loud and sometimes cringe at the caveman act but all in all it was a great book!

4 Sexy Heels

I have been waiting patiently for this book and when I found out that it was Matthew's book, I was very excited. He has had small cameos in some of Natasha's other books and that has just managed to get me more excited for this book. As for being a standalone, it is in the sense that you can read this series out of order, but if you are one of those people that doesn't want details about the first book, then you might want to read Something so Right first, but definitely not necessary.

Matthew is getting a second chance after royally screwing up his NHL career by partying too hard. Now with this chance comes a "babysitter" to help keep him on track. When he shows up for initial meeting he is shocked to see that the women he saw in the hotel gym and finds out that she will be his "babysitter." I knew this was going to be fun...and I found myself shaking my head at so many things Matthew says and does to Karrie. He can definitely come off very arrogate and domineering, yet there are still times where he shows his softer side. Karrie is sassy and doesn't take any of his crap. So, when things happen and he bulldozes his way into her bed and heart, you can't help of want them to be together.

Don't miss out on this book or series, you will not be disappointed.
