I fell in love with this series from the very first book. I am always a sucker for a hockey romance and this series doesn't disappoint. While these book CAN be read as a standalone, I personally wouldn't recommend it, unless you are ok with knowing details from previous couples. At the very least if you decided to start with this book, then you might consider just downloading the entire series. I assure you WILL want read the other books and this series in my opinion is a binge worthy series.
I had no idea that Max was getting his own book, but I was so excited to read this one. I love when an asshole gets a chance at his own happily-ever-after and this has a little forbidden romance going on as well. This book is full of sexual tension and angst that made my panties wet and then full of heat to light them on fire. This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions as these two go from enemies to friends to lovers, all while hiding their relationship from everyone and doing it extremely well. I love how the prologue drops a bomb that leaves you wondering when you will find out what happens and how everything turns out...it kept me on the edge the entire book.
So, check out this book and find out how Max and Allison get their happily-ever-after and if there are any casualties when the bomb is dropped. You do not want to miss this book.
