The conclusion to the Wright Love Duet is here and it certainly will have you filled with angst about "will they or won't they". Nothing is ever easy and Sutton has had enough loss to last her a lifetime. This new development with David just makes it easier for her to protect her heart. But will David let it go at that? Will he walk away without a fight? Or will he finally open up and let her in by finally telling her about his past and will Sutton allow him to heal her broken heart. There are some "I didn't see that coming" moments along with a few "well I'd hoped for that but didn't expect it would ever happen" moments. Family is everything to Sutton and she will soon find that her family will do whatever it takes to see her happy again. Steamy and wonderful love story.

Midge Everette.

I just need someone to talk to about life.
Only I recognize the smoky voice of the man on the line.
In the name of all things, don't let it be...
Hank Paige.

I once had it all.
Fame. Fortune. Females.
Except for the one thing I wanted most.
Now, I fix cars and restore other people's dreams.
I just want to be somebody's someone.
And there's a certain woman with captivating eyes,
I want to fulfill my dreams.
For the love of all things, please let it be her...
In the midst of questioning everything,
could love be the resolution to a midlife crisis?

Sweet Cheese!!! I can't tell you how much I am absolutely adoring these over forty romances by LB Dunbar. They aren't your average sweet love stories. You have people who have lived a good portion of their lives and who have experienced so much disappointment and tragedies but who have also been able to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and forge ahead with life. Living in the present is sometimes the hardest thing to do...to not go back and let the past determine your future. It is clear in this story that Hank is having the hardest time living in the now and although he may not wallow in the past, he certainly allows it to push into his present. Midge has come to terms with her current life and while she may not allow the past to push through, it does allow her to know what she wants. She wants more...she wants to be someone's someone. Secrets and miscommunications always play a part in how you can interact with others and both Midge and Hank will have to learn that they are worthy of so much more than they believe they are. Steamy, beautiful, emotional and at times heartbreaking but a truly perfectly imperfect story about a perfectly imperfect couple.

I freaking love LB’s over 40 romances and she had outdone herself with this one. I absolutely love Midge and Hank. While you can read this out of order, if you enjoy being surprised, then you might want start with Aftercare first. But you don’t have to...either way both are great stories that will capture your heart.

I can totally relate to Midge she is a woman who just can’t seem to say no. That’s how she meets Hank for the first time and the chemistry between these to is off the charts. Both have hangups and issues that make these two find it hard to quite get it right. Their budding relationship his hot and heavy, angsty and sweet all rolled into one. Hank has a past and it isn’t helping him win over Midge. Midge has her own issue and insecurities that get in the way. I found myself enthralled with each super hot sexy times and then found myself shaking my head every time Hank’s past that haunts him gets in the way. I kept hoping these two would figure things out and find their happily ever after. You won’t want to miss all the twists and turns along the way.

Check out this book. I guarantee you will love it even if you aren’t over 40.

First and foremost, I have only read one other Wright story, and while I absolutely have to finish those because, hello, hot Wright men, I wasn't feeling lost reading this story. At the start, I felt like this was a pretty normal, emotional love story. The loss of her husband truly devastates Sutton and she feels like she won't ever be ready to move on. David is a friend and has been by her side through all the emotional upheaval that was Mavericks death. You almost see this pairing coming, well forget almost, you KNOW it is coming. What we don't know is how Sutton will deal with the guilt and how David will deal with Sutton. And the cliffhanger? It's a doozy so hang onto your hats because you have wild, steamy ride coming your way. I love how the Wright family interacts with each other and how they are just there for each other through everything they have been through and will go through. Bring on the Wright One because I am dying for what comes next

Excerpt

MADDIE

It strikes me suddenly that I’m not the only one who will notice how fucking good Tyler looks now that he’s all clean-shaven and you can really see that ridiculously fortunate bone structure he has. And I’m a little embarrassed about the fact that I just got all possessive and shit. I’m about to say something to that effect, either make a joke or play it off, but before I can, Tyler grabs me around the waist, pulls me to him and whispers, “That was so fucking hot,” just as the doors to another elevator pop open.
He walks me backwards into the car and frantically pushes the “door close” button before anyone else can step in. He’s got me pressed against the mirrored glass and his hands are between my denim-covered thighs, cupping my pussy. He kisses my neck and the feel of his lips, without any rough hair to brush and scratch against mine, feels so good that I can barely stand it. I didn’t realize his kiss was so soft. The skin of his mouth feels new. Like, I was just starting to get accustomed to the way his kisses felt, and suddenly it’s a whole new experience. New, but familiar. The same way it was when I met him.
It’s how this whole moment feels. Back in the Mandarin where we were on Halloween when we found out who we are. A concept which, I realize in this moment, might be true in more ways than one. It’s been barely two months since we turned each other’s lives upside down. Except that’s not quite fair. Or accurate. Our lives were already upside down. We’ve turned them back right side up. Yeah, we disrupted each other’s worlds, but we did so in the most magnificent way. And it’s starting to feel like that disruption is going to result in a life that actually feels... settled.
I realize that life with Tyler Morgan will never be boring. That much seems incredibly evident. But life is unpredictable no matter what we do to try to put rules in place to keep it from feeling that way. At least with Tyler the unpredictability doesn’t seem scary. With him, as much as is possible, the unpredictability feels safe.

TYLER

Just like the beard was keeping me at a distance from the people I would see walking down the street, it was keeping me at a distance from her when we were alone together. It was an unrealized blockade impeding my ability to be as close to her as I want to be. There is no such impediment now, and I am engulfing myself inside her.
The feel of my cheeks nuzzled in between hers makes this moment seem so...sweet. It’s nice. I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s just kind of...pure. That’s how I feel. That’s what I think.
I also feel like one good rimming deserves another.
So, moving my head in tiny circles around her ass, just like she did to me a couple of days ago, I get off on the whining noises she makes, and I work two fingers inside her pussy to help everybody along. With my other hand I begin fisting my cock. I’m trying to go slowly so that I don’t fucking come right here all over the Mandarin’s nice carpet. I already burned down one of their condos, I don’t want to fuck up one of their suites too. New-look Tyler is considerate like that. But as slowly as I’m trying to go, she’s making it tough because of the way she’s rotating her ass and hips around.
And suddenly, I don’t want to be behind her. I mean, I love the view from here and I love the way she tastes, but I want to see her. I want to look at her face and have her look at mine. Yeah. I want her to look at me. I want her to see me.
So I pull away, flop down on my back on the bed beside her, and summon to her with my index finger to come over. She does, smiling as she mounts me. She takes my two fingers that were just inside her and puts them in her mouth. And I remember the first time I saw her do that. I told her, “You’re going to fucking kill me.” But she didn’t. She didn’t. It was exactly the opposite. She fucking saved me. And so now, with her astride me, I sit up, take her face in my hands, look her square in the eyes, and tell her, “I fucking love you.”
She closes her own eyes with a shy smile and whispers, “I fucking love you.”

The finale to the Original Sin series is finally here and what a doozy it is. What I have absolutely loved most about this series (and Passion Rising) is Tyler's inner monologue. He is definitely a piece of work, but hearing his thought process through all of this makes me laugh, smile and finally see that there is a reason for everything he does even if it doesn't make sense to anyone else. New Tyler is an absolutely interesting dude. While this tries to tie everything up with a nice little bow, nothing is ever really that easy so we know that Maddie and Tyler have more to go through. But despite all the chaos, the tragedy and the "out there" behavior, there are some serious lessons to be learned. Nothing, and I mean nothing is as it seems. When you begin to LISTEN to those around you, you see that even if doesn't seem so, there are forces (or guardian angels) bringing you to the light or to where you are meant to be. There are signs everywhere if you look for them. I loved watching these two grow into who they were meant to be and learn the lessons they were meant to learn. Typical HEA? Maybe, maybe not, but the journey, the ride is absolutely worth it
